Over the past ten years, the kin’s settlement “Lyubimovka” has evolved from an idea into a fully-fledged ecosystem where country living is not merely about seclusion, but about active creation. Today, it is a space where people do not simply live side by side, but build a future together, drawing on traditions and modern approaches to development.

In the Lyubimovka settlement, projects such as “Volshebnyy les” – tourism and theater camps – and the Family School of Folk Culture – a supplementary education project focused on folklore led by a professional instructor – continue to operate, as well as “Beloved School” – a project supporting family-based nature education that includes joint preparation for assessments and regular classes that expand beyond the school curriculum.

At “Beloved School,” the teaching staff is already beginning to prepare for the new school year – 2026/2027.
“We’re gradually putting together our lesson plans, discussing organizational rules and the schedule, and sharing best practices within the community,” the residents say.

At our weekly women’s circle, residents began listening to a series of lectures together, which inspired us to want our children to learn how to create their own projects, express themselves independently, and bring their ideas to life. So residents decided to suggest that they form a children’s council. The most important goal for the adults is to gently introduce the children to the process of collaboratively creating a shared space, building relationships, and establishing traditions.

Furthermore, a children’s theater camp was held this summer. Every morning, the children started with morning exercises, swam in the lake, participated in workshops, took acting classes, and much more.

Additionally, residents of the Lyubimovka settlement continue to hold gatherings aimed at preserving the traditions of their ancestors – hard work and a communal way of interacting – as well as reviving and fostering a love of nature. For example, during one of the recent community workdays, the men built a new gazebo, while the women gathered herbs so they could come together throughout the year to enjoy a cup of fragrant herbal tea.

The kin’s settlement Lyubimovka continues to grow, demonstrating that a conscious life in harmony with nature and neighbors is not a utopia, but a real path that these people choose every day.
