The kin’s settlement Zhivaya Kartina was established in 2009 and is located 115 km from Moscow. The total area is about 300 hectares of land.
The Zhivaya Kartina settlement is a young kin’s settlement, however, for a relatively short period of its existence, it already has more than 15 families living in it on a permanent basis. The settlers themselves attribute this success to their compliance with the ideas set out in the series of books "The Ringing Cedars of Russia".
The inhabitants of the kin’s settlement believe that the distinguishing feature of kin’s settlements from dachas and villages is that the disposal of land is the property not only of the family, but of the entire kin’s settlement (collective), and the right to own, use, and inherit the land of the kin’s domain should belong exclusively to each family separately. Due to this form of land ownership and conditions of development, the kin’s settlement is actively developing and almost all occupied plots are built up.
The kin’s settlement is inhabited by people who intend to build a harmonious space for life, create favorable conditions for the upbringing, and education of children in harmony with the surrounding nature, restore morality and spiritual traditions of ancestors, form a team of like-minded people on the basis of friendship, mutual respect, mutual assistance, and trust.
The main idea of the Zhivaya Kartina settlement is "the environment shapes the person", which is why special attention is paid to a favorable atmosphere conducive to the growth and development of each community member.
The settlers create joint projects aimed at the development of both children and adults. For example, sports games in the common clearing of the kin’s settlement, seminars, and festivals, harvesting crops and medicinal herbs. They also collectively participate in the development of the kin’s settlement.
Agriculture is actively developing in the Zhivaya Kartina settlement: they grow fruits, vegetables, and berries in their estates or on common plots, breed animals (chickens, geese, goats) for food production.
The residents of the kin’s settlement Zhivaya Kartina strive to create a harmonious and self-sufficient community where everyone can develop their talents, live in accordance with their values, and contribute to the world around them.
