Kovcheg kin’s settlement celebrated its 20th anniversary in 2021. More than 200 people live in the kin’s settlement. Kovcheg settlement occupies 121 hectares of land, 81 of which are allocated for kin’s domain.
The Kovcheg settlement is located 140 kilometers from Moscow and is home to people of various ages from students to retirees, and a wide variety of professions and specialties: economists, officers, teachers, musicians, scientists, entrepreneurs, and programmers.

According to the residents of the kin’s settlement, urban life deprives people of simple and natural values - fresh air, clean drinking water, wildlife around, and silence. Here people return the traditions of strong families, good relations with neighbors, do creative work, and find a sense of joy and creation.
Theater - studio "Malachite"
The Kovcheg settlement is famous for its theater. It was built by residents at their own expense and they are the actors of the studio.
Classes in the studio allow you to develop your personal qualities, learn not to be afraid of the public, and to reveal your creative potential. The team has repeatedly participated in Russian and international theater festivals and received prestigious awards.

On the home ground of the Malakhit Theater, performances for children's and adult theater studios are periodically performed, which are attended by audiences from Kaluga, Obninsk, and Moscow. All performances are free of charge.
Hospitality
The residents are glad to see guests not only at their performances, but also on guest and fair days. For example, not so long ago the kin’s settlement held a fair Harvest Festival. All invited connoisseurs of eco-products were treated to locally grown fruits and vegetables, homemade cheese, bread, and aromatic herbal teas.

In addition to the fair, there are also separate guest days for all those who wish to visit the Kovcheg settlement . Guests can go on a tour of the kin’s settlement, see the performance of creative groups, and even get theater training from the head of the theater studio "Malachite".

In addition to creative and entertaining programs, residents of the Kovcheg settlement hold events for people who dream of moving to the kin’s settlement. For example, a seminar, in which residents share their experience of building a house in the kin’s domain. In the program of the event they tell how to start construction, make a convenient layout, and other useful things. Also, participants of the seminar can personally visit resident’s houses and see what they talked about at the seminar.
