Hello, friends! My name is Anastasia Momotenko, though some people are more used to calling me Velena Veda. My journey toward establishing a kin’s domain didn’t begin with buying a plot of land – or even with reading books. It began with a tiny sprouted orange seed when I was ten years old. Back in the days before the internet, I would spend hours in libraries, copying passages from books about plants to understand how the plant world works. Something drew me to the earth, to nature – long before I found an explanation for it.

In 2000, for my 16th birthday, my grandmother gave me V.N. Megre’s book “Anastasia”. It was a moment of recognition – I realized that the images that had lived within me since childhood had a name and a path. The image of a kin’s domain – my own place on Earth where every family can create a Space of Love – captivated me completely.

In the spring of 2006, I set foot on the land of our future kin’s domain for the first time. Before me lay a large field covering 1.45 hectares – a solid expanse of fireweed and clover, with a grove of birch and aspen trees along the northern border. No house, no water, no road, and no electricity. Just the earth, the sky, and a dream.

For the first few years, my mom and I would come “to visit” – first by train, then on foot, a round trip of about two hours. Once, we accomplished what was almost a “feat”: we brought several bricks from the city on that same train to build our first hearth. We planted Siberian fir, raspberries, and hawthorn. Much of it perished from drought and hares. But what mattered most survived – our determination.

Today, our kin’s domain is called Raduzhnoe Privolye. “Raduzhnoe” because I’ve always envisioned it as a blooming garden, created from a wide variety of plants. “Privolye” came about on its own in 2018, because only here, at this spot on Earth, do I feel a sense of freedom and inspiration. The three of us – my mother, my son, and I – are working toward this goal together.

Today, my life is an amazing blend of things. I can build a computer from scratch while simultaneously designing a garden, doing construction, installing plumbing, learning architectural software, and writing poetry. Many people ask how it’s possible to combine technology with the concept of kin’s domains. For me, the answer is simple: Anastasia from Vladimir Megre’s books once discovered an important truth – you must define reality for yourself. This means not copying someone else’s way of life or thoughts, but having the courage to think for yourself and forge your own path.

Right now, our whole family is building our kin’s domain in the kin’s settlement Radosvet. We are reviving that very concept of the Motherland, where everything is familiar – from every blade of grass to every plank in the wall.
