Spouses Svetlana and Valery Medofiev are the creators of the Three Suns ethno park in Krasnoarmeysky District. After retirement, they seriously considered breeding cedar groves and creating a nature reserve in their kin’s domain. They began to realize their idea in 2017.

"Our park is located on the cedar trail. Next to it, two kilometers away, is a cedar grove. Through our park, we want to show people the richness and beauty of cedar. Cedars are our soul. My husband and I live without medicines thanks to them. Every day we eat cedar needles and nuts and feel good," said Svetlana Mefodieva.

Over the years, nine wooden sculptures of animals, made by the hands of the head of the family, have appeared in the park. It took him at least two weeks to make one figure alone.

The couple often organize excursions to the ethno park for all comers. They don't charge anyone for it. Svetlana Mefodieva noted that it was thanks to this park that they made friends with the locals.

In addition to the ongoing development of their ethno park, the couple also involve both adults and children in planting cedars. For example, the family organized a good and kind tradition in the local kindergarten: planting cedar saplings in the “Alumni Alley” by children and their parents. Svetlana participates in the process, talking about the importance of cedars and the care these trees require.

The couple is often asked where they get the energy to do all this work. To this they always answer: “The cedar helps us.”

Traditional crafts are carefully preserved and developed on the kin’s domain. Weaving, embroidery, vine weaving, ceramics, making traditional musical instruments - this is only a small part of what the Medofievs are passionate about. In their hands ancient patterns come to life, clay turns into elegant vessels and vines into durable and beautiful products. Each creation is not just an everyday object, but a piece of soul, an embodiment of centuries-old culture.

The kin’s domain of the Medofiev family is an example of how one can live in harmony with nature, preserve and multiply cultural heritage, and share their knowledge and experience with others. It is a place where the past meets the future, where traditions come to life and inspire new achievements.
