The annual, international family festival in the Ural to revive Russian folk culture took place from June 4-8, 2025. The festival has been held since 2015 in the kin’s settlement Bolshaya Medveditsa, between Yekaterinburg and Chelyabinsk.
This year was no exception, gathering on its platform masters of folk crafts, musicians, dancers and just lovers of Russian culture from all over the country and abroad. For five days the festival guests immersed themselves in the atmosphere of traditions, participated in master classes, listened to folk songs and admired the beauty of the Ural nature.

"We went as a family to Russia's largest festival of healthy lifestyle, cheerful songs, and healthy healing round dances. The kids were absolutely thrilled! I organized a master class on making psaltery. Each participant was able to have a hand in making their own psaltery, their own shape, their own sound concept, their own string and pattern. It turned out to be 17 psalters for each participant of the master class, which he could take home with him as a souvenir of the festival. In addition, for 3 days there was a master class on folk vocal for children and adults, which was conducted by me" - shares Denis Mishurinsky, a participant and organizer of the festival.

One of the main features of the festival is its family orientation. Everyone could find something to do here to their liking. Special playgrounds, master classes in clay modeling, wood painting and vine weaving were organized for children. Adults could take part in round dances, learn ancient crafts, taste traditional Russian cuisine and buy unique handicrafts.
The evening program of the festival included concerts of folk groups, theatrical performances and fire shows. Spectators watched with delight the musicians playing folk instruments, fiery dances and colorful costumes.
The festival in the kin’s settlement Bolshaya Medveditsa is not just entertainment - it is a place where traditions come to life and folk art becomes closer and clearer to everyone!
