A healthy snack for every day: Cedar nut flakes as an alternative to unhealthy snacks

A healthy snack for every day: Cedar nut flakes as an alternative to unhealthy snacks

Snacks with cedar nut flakes are an excellent source of energy and nutrients. They are ideal for a snack before training, on the road, or simply as a tasty and healthy treat.

Snacks with cedar nut flakes are a healthy and delicious snack that can be an excellent source of energy. Thanks to their nutrient-rich composition, they are ideal for situations when you need a quick boost. These snacks can be eaten before physical activity, while traveling, or simply as a healthy alternative to regular sweets. They not only satisfy hunger, but also nourish the body with essential nutrients.

Energy candies

Ingredients:
100 g cedar nut flakes
50 g dates (pitted)
20 g oat flakes (quick-cooking)
1 tablespoon honey or maple syrup (optional, for sweetness)
A pinch of cinnamon (optional)

Preparation: In a blender or food processor, grind cedar nut flakes, dates, and oat flakes into fine crumbs. If the mixture is too dry, add a little water. Add honey (or maple syrup) and cinnamon to taste, then mix.

Wet your hands with water and roll the mixture into small balls. Place the balls on a plate and refrigerate for 30 minutes to set.

Crunchy chips with cedar nut flakes

Ingredients:
100 g cedar nut flakes
50 g whole wheat flour
2 tablespoons flax seeds (ground)
1 tablespoon olive oil
2-3 tablespoons water
Salt, favorite spices (e.g., dried garlic, herbs) to taste

Preparation: In a bowl, combine cedar nut flakes, whole wheat flour, ground flax seeds, salt, and spices. Add the olive oil and mix until crumbly.

Gradually add water, kneading the dough. It should be dense but not sticky. Place the dough on a sheet of parchment paper and roll it out very thinly (about 2-3 mm). Use a knife or cookie cutter to cut the dough into the desired shapes (squares, diamonds). You can prick them with a fork to prevent the crackers from puffing up during baking.

Transfer the parchment with the crackers to a baking sheet and bake in an oven preheated to 180°C for 10-15 minutes, or until the crackers are golden brown and crispy. Allow the crackers to cool completely on the baking sheet before serving.

Sweet crackers with cedar nut flakes

Ingredients:
1 cup cedar nut flakes
1/2 cup oat flakes
1/4 cup flax seeds
1/4 cup sunflower seeds
1/4 cup dried fruit (raisins, dried apricots, cranberries)
2 tablespoons honey or agave syrup
1/4 cup coconut oil (melted)
1 teaspoon cinnamon
Pinch of salt

Preparation: In a large bowl, combine cedar nut flakes, oat flakes, flax seeds, and sunflower seeds. Add the finely chopped dried fruit, cinnamon, and salt. Mix thoroughly.

In a separate bowl, combine the honey (or agave syrup) and melted coconut oil. Pour the liquid ingredients into the dry ingredients and mix well so that all ingredients are evenly moistened.

Preheat the oven to 175°C. Spread the mixture on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper and shape the future crackers with a knife or a special mold. Bake for about 20-25 minutes, until the snacks are golden brown and crispy. Allow the snacks to cool completely before serving.

Store the snacks in an airtight container at room temperature. Bon appetit!
