The story of the Kuzmin family's move to kin’s domain

The story of the Kuzmin family's move to kin’s domain

The Kuzmin family with two daughters lives on their kin’s domain in the picturesque Altai Mountains. They moved here 4 years ago. The decision to create their own Space of Love was not spontaneous. Tatyana Kuzmina says: “I wanted to create conditions for a more fulfilling life and give such conditions to my children so that from birth they would perceive it as the norm and naturalness. The stronger was my intention, the faster the circumstances developed.” Tatyana had this dream before starting her family, and after meeting her future husband, everything seemed to fall into place: he dreamed of the same thing.

The story of the Kuzmin family's move to kin’s domain

The first attempt to move to the kin’s domain was unsuccessful. The Kuzmin family chose a fledgling settlement near their hometown, St. Petersburg. They even built their first house using straw technology, and their first daughter was born here. However, like-minded people with whom the Kuzmins began to create the settlement eventually changed their minds, and a couple of years later an unauthorized landfill appeared in the vicinity of the settlement. Residents tried to get the authorities to liquidate it, but were unsuccessful. Therefore, the Kuzmins began to look for an option to move to a more environmentally friendly and peaceful place. They chose one of the most beautiful regions far from their home — Altai.

“We had to start all over again, create a space from scratch. We only had a field and an old forest garden on it. There was no electricity or water at this plot,” the Kuzmins recall. At first, the family lived in a tent and cooked food in a mobile kitchen. In just a week they built a small summer house of 8 square meters. Very compact, with huge windows and magnificent panoramic views! “It was the best summer of my life, and the best summer living conditions!” says Tatyana. The family did not have time to build a large house over the summer, so they had to leave for the city and return to their domain the next year. During the second summer, the house was ready, and the final move took place in August.

Today, the Kuzmin kin’s domain is a beautiful wooden house, a vegetable garden and flower garden, and gradually growing fruit trees. Already on this domain the youngest daughter was born. As Tatyana once dreamed, the children are growing up close to nature, the family travels a lot around Altai and is completely happy.

The path to making your dreams come true is not always simple and straightforward. But if you really want something and are willing to work and take risks for the sake of your happiness, then everything will definitely come true!
