Does everyone need to create kin's domain?

Does everyone need to create kin's domain?

In my opinion, the problem is that most readers of the Ringing Cedars Books believe that creating kin’s domains is the only right choice for everyone. I cannot agree with this, because life situations are much richer than any prescribed schemes. In some cases, creating a kin’s domain may require such radical changes in the life of a person and their loved ones that it can have devastating consequences. Here are some examples from life:

1. What to do if you really liked the ideas presented in the Books, but your loved one didn’t?

2. How can a villager who already lives on the Land, but on a small plot, implement ideas from Books? Do you need to leave your house and garden and start settling in a new place?

3. What to do if you inherited a plot and a house in the village where your father or grandfather grew a garden? Especially if you visited there often as a child and love this place, but it is only 10-30 acres, not a hectare! What should you do? Should you leave the garden your grandfather planted?

Does everyone need to create kin's domain?

What can you recommend to like-minded people in these situations? Can they feel involved in the ideas presented in the books in anything other than creating a kin’s domain? Are any options possible or should we strive for the kin’s domain no matter what? In my opinion, the Books contain clues to answer these questions, and in order to figure it out, I suggest recalling two plots.

The first plot is quite well-known and discussed. It tells about a cherry tree that played an important role in the Fate of the author. He treated with special attention and love one of the cherries he bought and planted, which was slender and beautiful, but with badly damaged roots. Worried about it, he paid special attention to this cherry, glad that it survived and bloomed in the spring. According to Anastasia, these feelings towards the cherry tree became the most significant event in the author’s life for several years, radically changing his Fate.

The second story is not so popular. At the end of the third book, Anastasia talks about how city residents will plant and grow cedar trees from seeds in pots at home, and then replant them in alleys, on river banks, in courtyards, along roads and other accessible places in their hometowns. Having done this with love and care, caring for their seedlings, these townspeople will grow special trees that have known human love.

Does everyone need to create kin's domain?

What conclusion can be drawn from these two stories? They show very clearly that even one tree, caressed by your sincere love and care, can play an important role in your life and even influence the future of your small Motherland. The concept of a kin’s domains is very significant, but let's not forget what it is based on. It’s not just a matter of the plot of land, the presence of a hedge, a garden, a vegetable garden, and a pond; first of all, the depth and sincerity of feelings towards the Nature around you are important!

Even if you don’t have the opportunity to start arranging the kin’s domain right now, you can use Anastasia’s hint. Plant a cedar or other tree from seed at home, give it your attention and affection, and later find a safe place to plant it where the tree can fully grow. If you can continue to visit him regularly, coming with your children, for whom this will be a very important and correct example, then in the end a special tree will grow!

So, taking a fresh look at the ideas presented in the Books, we can conclude that the kin’s domain is not the only possible way of conscious interaction with Nature! Yes, this is the most comprehensive, but also the most labor-intensive option for arranging a family’s living space. When dreaming of creating a kin’s domain, it is better to soberly assess your strengths and capabilities, weigh the pros and cons, and thoroughly discuss with your family the possible difficulties that you will have to face. And right now you can start small.
