We are receiving many questions from readers of the "Ringing Cedars of Russia" series directed to Vladimir Megre. As much as Mr. Megre would like to personally answer every question he is extremely busy finishing writing Book 8 part 3. Today we are offering you a shortened version of the answers written by Vladimir Megre to some of the frequent questions. We hope that these answers will be actual and interesting for you.
Why doesn't Anastasia go on public television?

With this message I shall try straight away to answer several questions that have been asked at the forum and provoked a discussion: "Why will Anastasia not appear on television?" "When will we hear about Anastasia elsewhere than through Megre's books?" etc.
The readers themselves have provided many answers to these questions, it remains only to add something very straightforward. Strictly speaking, to answer a question with a question: What channel is prepared to give Anastasia airtime? Not one, I can assure you. You can try to speak with the television networks yourselves. Another question: Would you want to watch Anastasia's appearances mixed in with commercials for diapers, orbits, and beer?
Would the networks allow Anastasia to speak if she would say that the products being advertised are harmful to people?
What do you think the reviews of Anastasia's appearance would be like? Judging by the organized persecution that occurs in the press, it is clear what they would be.
In answering these two questions, I immediately note the following: Who is preventing the networks or the press from taking a book containing Anastasia's opinions and commenting on them? Organizing a discussion, displaying thereby their attitude toward Anastasia and giving her the opportunity to choose herself where and how she would like to appear.
Even in the first book I wrote how everything began, how Anastasia asked me to write a book, how she taught me to write. At the time I gave her my word that I would fulfill her request, would write a book. But then I thought, why did I promise, why would I, a businessman, sit and write? Then I decided. I'll pay someone to come with a Dictaphone, let Anastasia say what she wants, maybe someone will publish it. I decided that this would be much simpler, quicker, safer, and I wouldn't have to be distracted from my business, and I would be keeping my word.
I told her about this. She, as it seemed to me then, strangely and categorically replied, "Vladimir, you are the father of our son, why do you want to entrust to another what you yourself should be doing for your son?"
The further course of events showed that, in some unbelievable manner, Anastasia foresaw the events of the future and, it seems, in the smallest detail. If we examine this carefully, she in fact answered the questions of the future with her actions and opinions. What is the value of only one of her phrases given in the beginning of her very first book: "I exist for whom I exist." But she did not simply answer, by her actions she anticipated many negative demonstrations.
When two books had been written, various female preachers began to emerge and pass themselves off as Anastasia. To this day one still makes appearances in Altai. People come to see her. She tells them that Megre is such a so-and-so, he stole her thoughts and now writes books. She also declares that she is a wonderful healer and invites people to come to her for treatment. People send indignant letters to the fund. Having been at her appearance, they immediately realized that this was not Anastasia standing before them. But they understood after they listened to her. And how many similar charlatans would there be if at least one person claiming to be Anastasia had been created? What great financial returns. You would, of course, having heard the latest charlatan, realize that you had been deceived, but you would not recover your wasted time and money.
Thus, lately, I have begun to reflect on what Anastasia has said.
By the way, in response to the question:
"And in general, if there were no various negative demonstrations or danger, would you want to meet with someone from the people?" Anastasia answered, "Of course, like any woman I very much want to have girlfriends, someone to talk to. I very much want my friend to be a woman who has been able to give birth to a healthy child."
I think that she wants to talk, not with someone who is simply curious about her, not with someone who simply wants to chat or meet her and then talk about it on every street corner and boast of the meeting, but with someone who has really accomplished something.
She has said so much in the books, but has the meaning of what she has said been sufficiently thoroughly understood?
For example, not so long ago I myself - rather, with the help of her grandfather - realized the supreme meaning of a phrase quoted in the book Co-creation, where, in response to the question, what does God want with his creation, and therefore what does God want from man, the answer was, "Conjoint creation and joy for all from its contemplation."
Grandfather proved to me and showed me that this phrase was indeed uttered by God. But even more staggering is the fact that the proofs, moreover irrefutable, are contained in the phrase itself. I will mention them in the seventh book. But in the meantime, try to find them yourself. The same goes for the meaning of many of Anastasia's other phrases. Then a meeting with her will be more interesting, both for her and for you.
In general, in the course of the discussion, the readers provided sufficiently wise and profound substantive answers to the question posed, thank you for your understanding. From the course of the discussion in question, it is clear that many people scan the situation so well that they themselves will soon be writing books and that for them the discussion itself will be a school of its own.
I like the many messages from the forum, both critical and kind. I would not like to see any rude or insulting ones. I ask the administrators simply to remove the insulting ones without any debate or explanation. I shall answer one of them, but in the future I will not answer similar ones.
So, one of the messages reads:
"And with regard to Megre, I can say this: he's a real b...d if he can live far away from a woman like that and his son. I would abandon all my personal habits, abandon everything, but I would never leave her, but this guy's capable of doing it."
Answer:
If you are declaring your love for Anastasia, then do so; if you are asking her to welcome you at her home in the taiga, ask, it's your right. As regards to why I have not gone off to live in the taiga with Anastasia - and in such an insulting tone no less, a "guy like Megre" - I will answer that I can also give just as good as I get without being shy about it.
But about love I will say this: Everyone has different conceptions of love. And mine probably differs from yours. And, I'm sure; it will not please many people, especially women. Because I consider the phrase "I love you" to be stupid. If you love, you have to prove this love with deeds. Prove it in such a way that there is no need to speak of love, in such a way that it is obvious with nothing more.
Romeo was never my hero. Moreover I believe that men like him are simply ditherers and are really incapable of profound love. And I have never in my entire life ever told a single woman "I love you."
With regard to Anastasia, she asked me to write books, and I write them. I'm glad she didn't ask me to write an opera, because I have a tin ear. But I would even have started to write an opera. And I would have definitely finished it.
If she asked me to get a star from the sky, I would climb the highest tree and leap from the top toward the star. Perhaps I would fly to the ground, perhaps to the stars, but I would definitely make the leap. If I flew down, I would grasp at a branch to prevent myself from crashing to the ground, and I would again climb to the top, and I would again leap, and I would definitely fly to the star, because that is the way it must be. Otherwise you will not fulfill the request of the woman you respect.
To reach your beloved, I believe that you must go, not to the woman, but for the woman.
Anastasia asked me to write books, and I have been writing them for six years, three remain to be written, and if she takes you or someone else, that is her right, and I will nevertheless do what I promised, I will finish writing the books, and my feelings toward her will not change, they will remain within me. Everyone has different conceptions of love. You are entitled to yours, but I am also entitled to mine. Why then should we insult each other because of it?
In the end, I will say this: I, personally, more than anyone else, would like Anastasia to emerge, would like her, beautiful and proud, to be able to walk down the streets, and would want no one, absolutely no one to point a finger or pay any attention, because alongside her, toward her, would be walking many, many women just as beautiful, wise, and proud, and only I would know that a happy Anastasia would be walking among all these women. Of course, to bring this about is more difficult than getting a star from the sky, but I, together with our readers, will make it happen!

Radomir Settlement needs your support

An extreme situation has arisen in Chelyabinsk. This is the sixth year that settlers have attempted to register Radomir Settlement officially in Chelyabinsk Oblast (8km from Chelyabinsk). They have tried everything, including letters to the President, but with no success. The Administration has taken the position that the settlement (50structures, a five-year old woods planted by the settlers, a garden on everyone's parcel-tens of thousands of seedlings that have taken root) does not exist. Commercial concerns, which had come to an agreement with the oblast administration, have, under the auspices of the president's "accessible housing" programme, illegally, without auction, over the course of two months, received the right to construct detached houses (houses with with 0.10 ha of land, at a cost of several million rubles) on the territory of the settlement.

Immediately after the departure of the President of the Russian Federation (he will be in Chelyabinsk around August 9 to 15), a campaign of force was planned with respect to the residents of Radomir. The intent is to level the village, thus freeing the land it occupies for the construction of the detached housing.
The total area of the land occupied by the settlers at Radomir comes to about 300 hectares. In the future, homes for 250 families are to be built on this land.
According to Tatiana Tikhonova, the press secretary for Radomir Settlement, when the decision was made to construct an ecovillage in 2001, verbal permission for the construction of the village was received at the highest regional level. In accordance with the applications collected, 136 persons live in the settlement. The settlement has 50buildings, tens of thousands of transplanted cedars. Fifty activists have already confirmed their participation in a hunger strike.
"We hope that the residents of three more ecovillages on the territory of the oblast will come to give us their support," stated Tatiana Tikhonova.

Earlier, the residents of the settlement made an attempt to purchase the land from the owner, YuUNIIPOK. At that time, in 2005, the Institute of Potato Farming asked for one million rubles per hectare. But the deal did not go through because of a lack of specific documents regarding YuUNIIPOK's right of ownership, said Tatiana Tikhonova. About a year ago, YuUNIIPOK made an application in court against the inhabitants of Radomir for the unauthorized occupation of the lands. The decision was not in favour of the defendants. Then the court made a decision regarding the demolition of two houses belonging to inhabitants of Radomir. In spite of the court's decision, no one has demolished these two houses to date, noted Tikhonova. At the present time, YuUNIIPOK has transferred its right of ownership to the land to the Southern Ural Agency for Residential Mortgage Credit. As part of the President's programme, the Agency for Residential Mortgage Credit plans to build a settlement of small detached houses on the lands of Radomir. This, however, poses the danger of an ecological catastrophe to the Shershnevsky Reservoir, which supplies a city of a million inhabitants. In conclusion, Tatiana Tikhonova assured the correspondent from UralPolit.Ru that the hunger strike that had been declared would continue until the authorities made a decision in favour of the residents of Radomir. "The fact that our ecovillagers are really going without food may be confirmed by physicians who can visit the protesters without hindrance," stated the village's press secretary.

SUMMER TIDINGS - Kovcheg Ecovillage
No one is sending any news from the settlement, everyone is simply living their own lives. It falls to me to be responsible, even if only briefly.
So, in short:
The settlement continues to grow. There is an increase in the number of families who come here to live permanently. Now, in the summer, many live here for months on end (and, clearly, they are also making progress with the planting and the buildings). Last winter there were on the order of 50 adults and 30 children, and this winter there will indeed be more (several more persons/families intend to remain for the winter). The number of houses is growing. We shall reach 70 this year. But much more important is the fact that finishing work is being done in the existing houses. Windows, doors, ceilings, and floors are being installed. Second floors are being opened up (over only the past two weeks two beautiful staircases were made in the workshop and installed, that is, the second floors were made accessible in two houses).
The social life is also expanding.
In the common building, activities run continuously from 10 a.m. to 8 p.m. These are activities for adults (choir, gardening club, tour club, Boyarshin gymnastics, embroidery, wood carving, etc.), as well as activities for children (mathematics, Russian language, drawing, and many other subjects). There isn't enough room. Someone came up with the idea to build an extension onto the common building, now this idea is being worked out in detail.
Among the projects implemented over the last half year, it is worth mentioning, of course, the bathhouse (Russian - "Banya"). Over the past few years, many people built bath-houses in their homes. Working bathhouses, in which seven persons can regularly go for a steam. Nevertheless, people got together and built a common bathhouse, and it is used by those who contributed to it. The main advantage of the common bathhouse is that it stands beside our stream with flowing cold spring water, and going for a swim in the stream is now a real pleasure-you don't have far to go. In the winter some of our particularly outstanding personalities made holes in the ice and went for a dip. With the bathhouse on the bank of the stream, this traditional Russian pastime will become accessible to many.
Through the efforts of several persons activities with the schoolchildren are gradually becoming better and wider. The method of "immersion" in subjects has been used for a fairly long time. At the end of January, a small delegation from our ecovillage was in a Shchetinin school, and also attended various classes. That gave a push of its own to the development of our school, thanks to the fact, additionally, that there we became acquainted with new people who were enthusiastic about non-traditional methods of education.
Approximately a year ago our choir was formed. Just the other day, on the anniversary of the ecovillage, its increasing skill was very evident. The choir has now achieved an almost professional sound. It sings for the many seminars conducted at the village (invariably impressing the guests). Performances by the choir have been organized at the local school and the local village arts and leisure centre.

Izobilnoe: a new village in northern Tula Oblast
Greetings to all our friends and those who share our vision! We take great pleasure in informing you that the process has begun to create Izobilnoe (the name "Izobilnoe" refers to "abundance"), a new village in Tula Oblast (Yasnogorsk District). Yet another page has been written in the history of the New Civilization.
Strictly speaking, the process began a half year ago, but until it became definitively clear how we would be able to take ownership of the land within the framework of Russian legislation and begin to develop it without any problems, we made no such announcement to avoid placing ourselves in a false position.
Today, having examined all the possible ways of creating eco-villages, and with the assistance of the Institute of Jurisprudence of the Academy of Kin Domains, we have found the optimal way for our case, and have begun the process of drawing up documents. The registration of the land will be carried out by way of the purchase of shares in a common-share property with the subsequent assigning of the shares in proportion (a land survey exists) and registration of ownership for each participant with a change in permitted land.
At the same time, each participant will be registered as a farmer, and on this basis the Small Farmsteads Union will be created as a juridical person to interact with the outside world. The principle of internal regulation is the Veche or Krug, which makes decisions with a minimum of 75% + 1 vote from the list of participants. Our land, 72ha, which is divided into 34 parts from 1 to 2.5 ha in size, is located in the area of the village of Veleshevo (1.5 to the south) in Yasnogorsk District, a long way from any settled areas and non-ecological enterprises. It is approximately 100 km along the M4 highway to the Moscow Ring Road. The cost of the land is 55 000 rubles per hectare (approx: $2200 USD).
Of the 34 lots, 12 have been reserved, and the remaining 22 are awaiting owners. There is the opportunity here to be in control, and then to succeed.
The lots are situated in the middle of a fairly thick woodland belt. Nearby is the river head of the Vosma River, where there is an old pond, which we are going to restore. In two small ravines, in the shadow of the woodland belt, flow streams from which it is possible to make a cascade of ponds. Not far away is an electrical power line, so we will have electricity. There is a problem with the elks, wild boar, and deer-they have eaten all the young self-seeding plants. A road, 6 km from the settlement of Ivankovo, runs near the lots and is now being rehabilitated at the cost of the district. In dry weather, it is 400m from it to the lots, you can drive to it in any vehicle. Unfortunately, for the time being there is no bus transportation, although at one time a regular bus used to run to the village. In the village, of the 30 houses, more than half are abandoned. We are now resolving the issue of renting or purchasing houses for the settlers for the period when they are developing their parcels. The construction of a common building in the village is in the development plan.
Slavnoe Eco-village is 8 km away; the creation of other two or three settlements is being planned in this district. So, there will be a school (support from M.
P. Schetinin has been promised personally) and infrastructure. Everything is in our hands.

Aistovo Ecovillage
The lands of our future village are located in the Volosovsky District of Leningradsky Oblast, near the village of Yazvishche in Sabskaya Volost.
To the north, this beautiful hilly area is surrounded by a mixed forest-spruce, birch, aspen-where black grouse, hazel-grouse, wood grouse, duck, foxes, and hedgehogs abound. The field is located on the southern, 2-3 degree slope that runs down to the Peleda River. Fish have begun returning to the river: pike, trout, etc. Beyond the river are small fields, approximately 50 ha in size, bordered by the natural boundary of Sabsky Bor, with areas containing berries and mushrooms. The earth in the fields is turf-podzol, with a permissibly elevated content of microelements in the soil.
By our calculations the entire process of registering the land (from taking inventory to receiving a certificate) will take from six to eight months, and the expenses will be 30000 rubles per hectare (approx: $1200 USD)
At present, we have 21 shares purchased, which is 90 ha of land. There are now nine families in the group, we are planning for 50. The expansion of the village is possible in the future. The initial payment for one hectare of land is 4000 rubles, plus the first payment for the inventory of the land for one hectare that comes to 2500 rubles. Further payments will be phased in as the land is registered.

An Unusual Wedding
An unusual wedding took place last weekend at Yekaterinburg. Instead of a tuxedo, the groom wore a traditional shirt with a sash, and the bride wore a folk costume.
Andrey and Nadezhda Mikhalev surprised everyone in the Registry Office. The young couple observes Old Russian traditions and is trying to be closer to nature. They placed special orders for their outfits at a shop that makes stage costumes. The guests took the idiosyncrasies of the newlyweds into consideration and came to the Register Office with living gifts: apple, berry, and currant seedlings. From the Register Office, the newlyweds immediately set out for the forest where they are planning to take up residence-and where there will soon be an eco-village for 65 families.

Ringing Brooks Settlement
The Ringing Brooks Settlement is located in the Karelichi District of Grodno Oblast, 7kilometres west of Karelichi itself. It is an incredibly beautiful hilly area with brooks, springs, and a forest. Lake Svityaz (the pearl of Belarus) is 15-20 kilometres away. There are also the small rivers of the Neman River basin. The Neman itself is 15kilometers away from us. Also nearby is the cultural and historical centre of Novogrudok. Our settlement is planning to create a school, social centre, club, store, and many other facilities necessary for a normal infrastructure and the vital activities of the settlement and its inhabitants. Purpose and plan for the practical seminar "Enterprise of the Transitional Period":
We all know perfectly well how good it will be for us to live in kin's domains. But we have also realized just how life in a system of technocratic interrelations does not suit us. Thus, between the ponderous Past and the bright Future is the real, the Now. How are we to fill it? How are we to provide opportunities for creative work for ourselves and those close to us?
We must consider those ways of organizing prosperity that would not run contrary to our feelings, not harm nature, not lead people astray, and, as far as possible, would not take much time away from family, the estate, friends, creative work...
It is precisely with this purpose that I propose to conduct a seminar on enterprise in the transitional period for the regional neighboring landowners while our domains are still being created and growing.
It is essential that the seminar enable us to obtain the following results for the participants:

Equip them with practical instruments for the business planning and the business evaluation of business projects (in other words: if you want-assimilate neighbors in the business environment);

Generate and record various ideas for business projects for landowners;

Present existing business projects (examine these projects from the social and neighbors' point of view);

At the conclusion of the seminar-institute a business club to establish confidential partnerships and (if desired) to conclude agreements for cooperation.
